What is IB ACIO?
Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has released IB ACIO 2020-21 notification for the post of Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence (IB ACIO) Grade-II. A total of 2,000 vacancies have been announced. It is General Central Service, Group ‘C’ (Non-gazetted, NonMinisterial) post. To be eligible for the exam, candidates should be aged between 18 and 27 years. The educational qualification required for the exam is graduation. Selection of candidates will be done through Tier I, II and III exams.

IB ACIO Selection Process 2020-21
The selection process of IB ACIO comprises the following stages.
Filling the application form: Candidates need to fill IB ACIO application form online. The examination fee is Rs 100 and recruitment processing charges are rs 500. Male candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC categories are required to pay the exam fee as well as recruitment processing charges. All SC/ST, female and ExSM candidates are required to pay recruitment processing fees.
Release of admit card: All registered candidates will be issued IB ACIO admit card online separately for different stages of the recruitment process. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required login credentials.
Appearing in the entrance exam: IB ACIO exam comprises three tiers: I, II and III. Tier I is objective type paper divided into five parts. The test carries a total of 100 marks. To qualify the Tier I exam, candidates need to secure the required cutoff marks. The cutoff marks for UR category are 35, while it is 34 for OBC/EWS candidates. IB ACIO cutoff marks for SC/ST candidates is 33. Candidates qualifying the Tier I exam are called for Tier-II test. Tier II is a descriptive type test of 50 marks. On the basis of candidates' performance in Tier I and II exam, shortlisting is done for interview. The interview carries 100 marks.
Declaration of the result: The result for different stages are announced online. IB ACIO result will be available in PDF form and will contain the roll numbers of qualified candidates.
Final Selection: Final selection of candidates is done on the basis of performance in Tier I, II and interview. Selected candidates need to undergo document verification and medical examination.

IB ACIO 2020-21 Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates should carry the printout of IB ACIO admit card to the exam centre
- Along with the admit card, candidates should carry one photo-identity proof for verification
- Bags, textbooks, pen, pencil or any other stationery items are not allowed inside the exam centre
- Mobile phones, calculators, wristwatch or any other electronic items are not permitted inside the exam centre
- Candidates caught copying or cheating will be debarred from appearing in the exam
